Stacy Keach, Alec Baldwin, JoBeth Williams and Sharon Gless are just a few of the Hollywood luminaries signed up to do radio plays for L.A. Theatre Works' 1999 Spring-Summer season.
Keach, Alison Elliott and Alley Mills open the season as father, daughter and barfly in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer-winner, Anna Christie. Eric Simonson directs the comedy-drama, March 24-28.
Keach's New York credits include The Kentucky Cycle and Macbird, though he's best known for starring as TV's Mike Hammer. Elliott (replacing previously announced Glenne Headley) is best known for playing the dying heiress in filmdom's "Wings of the Dove." Mills, as besotted Marthy, is best known for playing Mrs. Arnold on TV's "The Wonder Years."
All performances are recorded before a live audience at the Skirball Cultural Center and are broadcast later over KCRW 89.9 FM.

Alec Baldwin and Amy Brenneman will star in Arthur Miller's After the Fall, directed by Richard Masur (TV's "One Day at a Time," filmdom's "Who'll Stop The Rain?"). Also in the Fall cast are Gregory Itzin, Lawrence Pressman, Amy Pietz (TV's "Caroline in the City"), Kenneth Alan Williams and Claudette Nevins. Brenneman, best known for her work on the first season of TV's "NYPD Blue," is a last-minute replacement for previously announced Laura Linney. Performances are April 7-9 at 8 PM and at 4 PM & 7.30 PM on April 11.
Gless will star in Spread Eagle, a "lost" 1927 Broadway melodrama by George S. Brock and Walter Lister dealing with an American business tycoon who orchestrates the U.S. invasion of Mexico. Edward Asner (Born Yesterday), Kate Asner, Raye Birk and Fred Savage ("The Wonder Years") are also in the cast. Dates are July 21-25.
The Sisters Rosensweig arrives April 28-May 2, with JoBeth Williams and John Vickery. Wendy Wasserstein's comedy tells of assimilated Jewish sisters meeting in London.
May 12-16 brings Oscar Wilde's Lady Windermere's Fan, featuring Michael Hackett, Roger Rees (The Misanthrope at OB's CSC), Eric Stoltz and Miriam Margolyes.
Pretty Fire, Charlayne Woodard's autobiographical solo, engulfs the airwaves June 9-13.
Peter Sagal's Denial, about a lawyer defending an anti-Semitic historian who believes the Holocaust never happened, happens July 7-11. the Long Wharf's longtime artistic director Arvin Brown directs LisaGay Hamilton, Alan Mandell and Max Wright (Twelfth Night).
