Godlight Theatre Company artistic director Joe Tantalo directs the political satire, which began performances March 19 and will run through April 19. The cast includes Katherine Boynton, Enid Cortes, Gregory Konow, Deanna McGovern, Dustin Olson, Nick Paglino, Aaron Paternoster, Michael Shimkin, Scarlett Thiele, Michael Tranzilli and Sammy Tunis.

1984, according to press notes, "is a chronicle of one man's struggle against the ubiquitous, menacing state power Big Brother that tries to dictate nearly every aspect of human life. A classic in dystopian fiction and a trenchant political satire, 1984 resonates with themes as salient today as they were when this novel was first written."

1984 has choreography by Hachi Yu, with designs by Maruti Evans (set, lighting and costume design), Rick Sordelet (fight direction) and Andrew Recinos (original music and sound design).

Tickets for 59E59 Theaters productions are available by calling (212) 279-4200 or by visiting TicketCentral.
