News   Stage Door to Release "Gloria Swanson in Boulevard!" in April
The new London-based recording company, Stage Door Records, will release "Gloria Swanson in Boulevard!" April 14.

Boulevard! was the original concept musical based on the classic Billy Wilder film "Sunset Boulevard." Gloria Swanson, who played Norma Desmond in the 1950 film, can be heard on the recording, re-creating her role as the deluded silent-screen star.

The songs feature music and lyrics by Dickson Hughes and Richard Stapley and were recorded as demos throughout the years. Paramount ultimately refused permission for the production to be staged.

The CD also features bonus tracks of Swanson's first recordings from her film career.
