Here, via email, we hear from singing actress Amber Petty, who currently stars in 50 Shades! The Musical Parody at The Elektra Theatre.

What show recently impressed you?
I just saw the new production of Les Misérables and loved it! Though I've known every word of that show since 5th grade, I was still balling my eyes out every time somebody died, so I probably lost a pound in water weight during the second act.

What production are you most excited to see?
I'm really excited for the new Side Show. I never got to see the original production, but it's such an interesting idea for a show I can't wait to see it come to life. I'm also very curious about the new Larry David play. I would pay to go see Larry David just introduce a bunch of old episodes of "Curb Your Enthusiasm," so I'm sure the whole play won't disappoint.

What play/musical would you most like to revive on Broadway, and which role would you want to play?
Basically, I want to play all the roles Angela Lansbury ever played. So if Broadway wants to wait about 20 years and then do a rapid revival of Sweeney Todd, Gypsy, Mame, Dear World and Prettybelle, that would be pretty ideal for me. While I'm waiting to age, I would love if Songs for a New World came to Broadway and I could sing the Woman 2 track. I didn't realize til just now that one of my dream roles is called Woman 2. That sounds pretty sad that my ideal part doesn't have a name, but it's a great role in the show.

What are your current/upcoming projects?
I just filmed a web series called "Thug Passion" where I play a lame weirdo named Maggie. Also, I recorded voiceovers for Playtex, Mastercard and a variety of other commercials, and am writing a sketch show about a Heart cover band called Valve.
