What show recently impressed you?
I saw Once in previews and was simply blown away. From the free-and-easy pre-show jam session, the crystal-clear sound design, the transporting lighting to the stellar cast, it made me realize that what we get to do is sometimes magical.
What production are you most excited to see?
One Man, Two Guvnors is on my hot list right now. I need to see that cast before anyone leaves. They just look like they are having a blast.
What play/musical would you most like to revive on Broadway, and which role would you want to play?
That is an interesting question. I just missed the Carousel revival and Billy Bigelow is a role I love playing. So that is on my list. Brigadoon (Tommy), Chess (Anatoly), City of Angels (either Stone or Stein). I'm not picky, I like a wide variety of the classics.
What are your current/upcoming projects?
I'm doing a production of Paul Gordon and John Caird's Daddy Long Legs on the West Coast. I am also involved with the new musical Second Hand Lions by Michael Weiner, Alan Zachary and book by Rupert Holmes. Warner Brothers is looking to bring that to Broadway in 2013.
