Here, via email, we hear from Broadway singing actress Michele Ragusa, who is currently starring as Anna in the Maltz Jupiter Theatre production of The King and I, which continues at the Florida venue through April 6.

What show recently impressed you?
I think the show that most recently had a big effect on me was Kinky Boots. It was so great to see my pal Billy Porter absolutely inhabit the role of Lola. Also, I loved the message of the piece and the way that Cyndi Lauper truly wrote a score that was perfect for the Broadway stage.

What production are you most excited to see?
I’m really excited to see both The Last Ship and The Elephant Man. I recently heard Sting’s recording of the music, and I love how he’s completely immersed himself in the sounds of that time and region. I’m also a big fan of Bradley Cooper’s; I think he may show us all another side of himself with his interpretation of this role.

What play/musical would you most like to revive on Broadway, and which role would you want to play?
For a revival starring me – since On The Twentieth Century is already spoken for – I think I’d lean towards Kiss Me, Kate; Sweeney Todd; or Grey Gardens (I’m picking three since they’d be starring me!). These roles really appeal to me because they’d allow me, as an actress, to deliver both the depth and the comedy of these ladies (not to mention the vocal chops).

What are your current/upcoming projects?
Once I finish up my current project, The King and I at the Maltz Jupiter Theatre in Jupiter, FL, I’ll go right into rehearsals for the premiere of Marry Harry that will be on the new Hamilton Stage in Rahway, NJ. Then I’ll be spending my summer in Aspen (poor me) doing both The Full Monty and The Cottage. Rounding out my 2014 will be with Susan Stroman at the Kennedy Center with Little Dancer.
