Beth Malone

Here, via email, we hear from Broadway singing actress Beth Malone, who is currently playing the role of Alison in the new musical Fun Home at Broadway's Circle in the Square Theatre.

What show recently impressed you?
Hamilton Hamilton Hamilton — woke up singing the score this morning. I could sing you six songs from it right now, I swear. I am not throwing away my SHOT!

What production are you most excited to see?
Gigi! My friend Cam Adams is in it, and she keeps posting these gorgeous pics on Instragram, plus she is a fierce dancer.

What play/musical would you most like to revive on Broadway, and which role would you want to play?
Well, Molly in The Unsinkable Molly Brown is the answer to the next two questions.

What are your current/upcoming projects?
I spent much of last year at Denver Center playing Molly in the re-imagined revival of Unsinkable Molly Brown by Dick Scanlan and directed by Kathleen Marshall. It's really, really good, and fingers crossed it will continue its journey to the Broad Way. That would be a crazy follow-up to Fun Home. You cannot find two more polar opposite shows/roles. It's like a completely different skill set, and not.
