Dan Fishback’s musical The Material World at Dixon Place. It was like Madonna meets Fiddler on the Roof by way of Paula Vogel.

Pippin!

What play/musical would you most like to revive on Broadway, and who would you want to star?
I want to see Hello, Dolly! revived on Broadway with Patti LuPone. I want to direct it.

What are your current/upcoming projects?
I'm taking Patti Issues all over the world and working on a new solo play, less focused on show business or my family.

* Patti Issues, the solo piece performed by writer-director Rimalower (Joy, The Fabulous Life of a Size Zero), which chronicles his relationship with his gay father and his obsession with Tony Award winner Patti LuPone, debuted at the Duplex Aug. 30, 2012. Aaron Mark directs.

Patti Issues plays Thursday nights at 7 PM through Feb. 28 and then Wednesday nights at 9:30 PM through April 24.
