Here, via email, we hear from actor Tom Galantich, who is currently starring in Merle Good's The Preacher and The Shrink at The Beckett Theatre at Theatre Row.

What show recently impressed you?
I really liked two shows recently. The first was a production of an old play called Tovarich, which my wife, Mary Dierson, was in at The Shakespeare Theatre of NJ. A terrific production with a great cast. Really well done. It was very funny and apropos all these years later. What's better than finding an old gem at the wonderful regional theatres that are all around the country? The second was Honeymoon in Vegas at the Paper Mill Playhouse. I hope this has a chance to make it to Broadway. It was madcap, silly fun right from the start. They just keep doing great productions there.

What production are you most excited to see?
A tough question. There's so much to see on all stages in NY. That's what's so wonderful. If I narrow it down to Broadway, I'd say Big Fish. I had the chance to work with Norbert Leo Butz and can't imagine him not being great. That goes for Susan Stroman's direction, too. The Winslow Boy would be my choice as a drama. I've heard wonderful things about it. I really do enjoy the older dramas. It's fun to get lost in another time period for a few hours.

What play/musical would you most like to revive on Broadway, and which role would you want to play?
The revival I'd like to do is already happening. I'd love a crack at Billy Flynn in Chicago. I also grew up a Neil Simon fan, and I think a revival of The Prisoner of Second Avenue or even They're Playing Our Song would be fun.

What are your current/upcoming projects?
Currently, I've had the pleasure of filming a couple of episodes of “House of Cards.” They'll be on in the second season. What a terrific show. Great writing and an incredible cast. I'm very lucky to have the chance to be a part of it. Beyond that, while I know something's waiting around the corner, I'm hoping The Preacher and The Shrink will keep me busy for a while.
