What show recently impressed you?
I recently saw The Orpheus Variations, created by The Deconstructive Theatre Project. The approach was so fascinating and beautifully inventive. The story is told through conventional filmmaking techniques as a theatrical experience on the stage, while creating a finished cinematic presentation that is being projected in real time on a movie screen above the stage. It was totally captivating.
What production are you most excited to see?
Big Fish.
What play/musical would you most like to revive on Broadway, and which role would you want to play?
It’s a toss up between Leo Frank in Parade and Mickey in Blood Brothers. I think the alternating casting idea that was used in the 2000 revival of True West would be a fun approach to casting the twins...anyone?...anyone?...
What are your current/upcoming projects?
I lead a double life, so I am ridiculously fortunate to be working with two extraordinary groups of people right now. I am playing “Little Harry” in Marry Harry at the NYMF. I am also the co-founder and creative director of dirty sugar, a creative studio I formed in 2005 with some of my best friends.
