There will be a staged reading of a new adaptation of Nathaniel Hawthorne's The Scarlet Letter at NY's Collaborative Arts Project 21 (CAP 21). The reading, which is free and open to the public, is Feb. 9 at 7 PM. The verse adaptation of Hawthorne's examination of an adulterous affair in 17th-century America is written and directed by David Dorwart. The cast includes Maryann Plunkett, Aideen O'Kelly, Tod Randolph, Seana Kofoed, Peter Francis James, Allen Kennedy, Denis Holmes, William Meisle, Stephen Turner and Emily Chepiga.

The event is co-sponsored by the Stage Directors and Choreographers Foundation and CAP 21.
