News Stagedoor Manor to Celebrate Sondheim with Six Musicals Stagedoor Manor, the summer training center that was the inspiration for Todd Graff's 2003 film "Camp," will honor Tony-winning composer-lyricist Stephen Sondheim.

The Catskill Mountains camp will offer A Weekend in the Country with the Music of Stephen Sondheim, which will feature six full-scale productions of Sondheim musicals mounted by Stagedoor students.

Titles include Sweeney Todd, A Little Night Music, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Into the Woods, the revue Side by Side by Sondheim and the Sondheim-Leonard Bernstein-Arthur Laurents classic West Side Story.

Stagedoor production director Konnie Kittrell said in a statement, "Stephen Sondheim's shows are the most requested by our students. We have a large number of graduating seniors this season, and this is our gift to them."

Notable Stagedoor alumni include Robert Downey Jr., Zach Braff, Natalie Portman, Mandy Moore, Bryce Dallas Howard, Jon Cryer, director Shawn Levy, composer Jeanne Tesori and writer Jonathan Marc Sherman.
