Despite a disappointingly short 93-performance run, the Broadway revue Swinging on a Star will be recorded.
A CD containing virtually the entire score, all songs with lyrics by Johnny Burke, will be released in April 1996 on the Touchwood label.
Thomas Z. Shepard will produce the album, which will include all seven original cast members: Terry Burrell, Lewis Cleale, Denise Faye, Kathy Fitzgerald, Eugene Fleming, Alvaleta Guess and Michael McGrath.
Songs include "Pennis From Heaven," "But Beautiful," "Here's That Rainy Day," "Misty" and the title song.
The album is scheduled to be recorded Feb. 19.
