The Off-Broadway musical romance, Stars in Your Eyes, about idealistic mortals and the influence of the man in the moon, will close Nov. 29 after 27 previews and 39 performances at the Cherry Lane Theatre.

Gabriel Barre directed the tuner by Chip Meyrelles, who penned book, music and lyrics. Performances began Oct. 1. Official opening was Oct. 24.

The one-actor comedy, Fully Committed, by Becky Mode, about personalities surrounding a high-toned Manhattan restaurant, is expected to move into the Cherry Lane, at 38 Commerce Street, in Greenwich Village.

The Stars cast included Donna Lynne Champlin (Reunion), Heather Mac Rae (Falsettos), Barbara Walsh (Falsettos), Christy Carlson Romano (Parade), David M. Lutken (The Civil War), James Stovall (a recent Coalhouse Walker in Ragtime) and veteran actor John Braden (The Changing Room, Mary Mary).

Tom Wirtshafter and Planetearth Partners produce Stars. Jennifer Paulson Lee choreographed Designers are James Youmans (set), Tim Hunter (lighting) and Pamela Scofield (costumes). Georgia Stitt serves as musical director.
