Numerous stars from theatre and television will be on hand Nov. 9 when the Casting Society of America (CSA) pays tribute to some of New York’s top casting directors.

Edie Falco, Harold Perrineau, Blair Brown, Lea Thompson, Kim Cattrall, Joan Jett, and Daphne Rubin-Vega will be at the Culture Club at 5 PM Nov. 9 to present CSA’s Artios Awards. Scheduled to receive awards that were announced last week in Los Angeles are James Calleri (Theatre Musical Casting: James Joyce’s The Dead), Avy Kaufman (Theatre Drama Casting: bash), Jim Carnahan (Theatre Drama Casting: True West), and Judy Blye Wilson (Daytime Episodic Drama Casting: “All My Children”). This marks Wilson’s third consecutive win in this award category.

Other celebrities including Brian Stokes Mitchell, Jasmine Guy, Bruno Kirby and Deborah Yates are also expected to attend.

A special award, CSA’s first-ever “New York Apple Award” will be presented to producer and director Tom Fontana for his work as executive producer of HBO’s “Oz.”
