And the honoree for this year's Winter Benefit of the Drama League Of New York is: Broadway composer Cy Coleman.

The Hotel Pierre gala, scheduled for Jan. 27, will offer "A Musical Celebration Of Broadway," featuring performances and reminiscences by Beatrice Arthur, Tony Danza, Randy Graff, Dee Hoty, Sally Mayes and Lillias White. Also on hand will be the current stars of Broadway's Chicago (not a Coleman show), James Naughton, Bebe Neuwirth and Ann Reinking. Both Neuwirth and Reinking starred in Coleman's Sweet Charity; Naughton won a Tony for Coleman's City of Angels.

Albert Stephenson will direct the celebration, as he has previous tributes to Jerry Zaks, Joe Stein, Peter Stone, James Lapine and Kander & Ebb.

Coleman won Tony Awards for his work on the musicals City of Angels, Will Rogers Follies and On The Twentieth Century. Other works include Little Me, Sweet Charity, I Love My Wife and Barnum.

All proceeds from $375-$850 tickets will go to benefit the League's Directors Project, "the only national program that provides training and career development for emerging directors." For tickets and information call (212) 489-6745. --By David Lefkowitz
