Over 20 Broadway favorites—including recent Falsettos co-stars Stephanie J. Block, Andrew Rannells, Christian Borle, and Brandon Uranowitz—will take part in the Fifth Annual Broadway Bakes. The event is presented by the New York gourmet cookie company Schmackary’s (located at 362 W. 45th Street).

The event, which will be held May 15–19, will feature Broadway artists working behind the counter at Schmackary’s each day from 3–7 PM selling freshly baked cookies. Additional stars currently scheduled to participate are Bandstand's Corey Cott and Laura Osnes, Gavin Creel of Hello, Dolly!, Matilda favorite Lesli Margherita, and Anastasia stars Christy Altomare and Derek Klena.

Half the proceeds from cookies sales and 100 percent of the tips generated will go to Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. In the past three years, Schmackary’s Broadway Bakes events have raised more than $38,000 for the organization.

“Every step of the way, the backing of the theatre community has helped our little cookie company grow into a huge success story," owner Zachary Schmahl said in a statement. "So when it came time to give back, Schmackary’s wanted to assist the Broadway community in any way possible. Broadway Bakes was born, and the stars have come out twice now to help us give back and support Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.”
