One never knows who they'll meet in the woods! A number of casting changes have been revealed for the current extended Broadway revival of Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine's Into the Woods. Beginning September 6, the company will be led by real-life married couple Stephanie J. Block and Sebastian Arcelus as the Baker's Wife and the Baker, respectively, succeeding original stars Sara Bareilles and Brian d'Arcy James.

Also joining the cast are Krysta Rodriguez as Cinderella, Katy Geraghty as Little Red Ridinghood, and Jim Stanek as the Steward, succeeding Phillipa Soo, Julia Lester, and David Turner, respectively.

Montego Glover will join current star Patina Miller to share performances as The Witch beginning September 6, with Glover taking performances Tuesday through Thursday and Miller playing Friday through Sunday.

Andy Karl will play a brief run as the Wolf and Cinderella's Prince September 6–15, with current star Gavin Creel continuing with the production from September 16. Current Rapunzel's Prince Joshua Henry will remain in his role.

Beginning September 27, Ann Harada will reprise her New York City Center Encores! performance as Jack’s Mother on the Main Stem. Current Jack's Mother Aymee Garcia will remain with the production through September 25.

As previously announced, the production's entire original cast, including Bareilles, d’Arcy James, and Soo, will continue with the production through September 4. Ta’Nika Gibson, Annie Golden, Albert Guerzon, Brooke Ishibashi, Kennedy Kanagawa, David Patrick Kelly, Nancy Opel, Cole Thompson, Alysia Velez, Delphi Borich, Felicia Curry, Jason Forbach, Alex Joseph Grayson, Cameron Johnson, Paul Kreppel, Mary Kate Moore, Diane Phelan, and Lucia Spina will all remain through the October 16 extension.

With a book by James Lapine and a score by Stephen Sondheim, Into the Woods combines the fairy-tale stories of Cinderella, Jack and the Beanstalk, Rapunzel, and more, ultimately going beyond "ever after" to explore what happens next.

The Into the Woods creative team includes director Lear deBessonet, music director Rob Berman; choreographer Lorin Latarro; scenic designer David Rockwell; costume designer Andrea Hood; lighting designer Tyler Micoloeau; sound designer Scott Lehrer, co-designing with Alex Neumann; puppet designer James Ortiz; and hair and makeup designer Cookie Jordan. Casting is by The Telsey Office's Craig Burns, and Cody Renard Richard serves as production supervisor. Justin Scribner is production stage manager, and music coordination is by Seymour Red Press and Kimberlee Wertz.

Following a two-week run at New York City Center in May, the revival transferred to Broadway's St. James Theatre, where it opened July 10, after beginning previews June 28. Read reviews for the production here.
