News Stephen Fry to Host One-Night West End Celebration of The Great British Musical Stephen Fry, who made his own contribution to British musical theatre history when he did the book revisions to the hit 1980s West End and Broadway revival of Me and My Girl, will host The Great British Musical, a one-night celebration of the past and future of the genre to be held at the West End's Criterion Theatre April 10.

The company, which will also feature Peter Polycarpou, Michael Xavier and Emma Williams (all recently seen in Howard Goodall's new musical Love Story), Hadley Fraser, Paul Keating, Julie Atherton, Steven Webb, Sophia Ragavelas, Jack Shalloo, Dougal Irvine, Jodie Jacobs, John Addison and Stuart Matthew Price, will perform numbers by the famous and future of British writers from shows including The Lion King, Just So, Love Story, Aida, Blood Brothers, Salad Days, Stop The World I Want to Get Off, Betty Blue Eyes, Departure Lounge, The Go-Between, Through The Door and Lift. The performance is being held to benefit Perfect Pitch Musicals, an organization that develops new musicals in collaboration and in partnership with theatre and non-theatre organizations around the U.K.
