Classic Arts News Sting, Barbara Bonney, and Joshua Bell to Appear in Schumann-Themed Benefit Violinist Joshua Bell, soprano Barbara Bonney, and the rock star Sting will appear in a performance of Twin Spirits, a theatrical exploration of the lives of Robert and Clara Schumann, as a benefit for Broadway Care/Equity Fights AIDS on March 27.
Sting, who is also an actor, and his wife, Trudie Styler, will read letters written by the Schumanns, interspersed with music performed by Bell, Bonney, pianist Jeremy Denk, baritone Thomas Meglioranza, cellist Alisa Weilerstein, and pianist Natasha Paremski.

The event takes place at the New Victory Theater starting at 7:30 p.m.

Created by theater director and writer John Caird, Twin Spirits was originally staged in 1999 as a benefit for the renovation of the Royal Opera House, with Sting and Styler in the starring roles.

Tickets are $250-$1,000 and are available through www.broadwaycares.org.
