Teresa Stratas, one of the world's most acclaimed interpreters of the German and English songs of composer Kurt Weill, will share her thoughts on the writer in The Many Sides of Kurt Weill, 3 PM Feb. 6 at the 92nd St. Y in Manhattan.

Known for "Stratas Sings Weill," a recording of songs by Weill and Bertolt Brecht as well his work with American writers, the famed opera singer actress not sing, but will be joined by a new generation of Weill interpreters who won the 1999 Lotte Lenya Singing Competition. Lenya was Weill's wife.

Musical theatre, opera and art songs will be performed by Lenya winners Amy Orsulak (first prize), Christina Carr and Dirk Weiler (second prize) and Daniel Spiotta and Amy Van Looy (third).

The event is presented in cooperation with the Kurt Weill Foundation.
