Broadway Records will release an Original Soundstage Recording of Paul Gordon's Emma, based on the classic Jane Austen novel. Releasing digitally January 11 and in stores January 25, Emma features Kelli Barrett (Dr. Zhivago, Wicked) in the title role.

Joining Barrett in the cast are Caitlin Brooke, Lauren "Coco" Cohn, Adam Daveline, Richert Easley, Timothy Gulan, Brian Herndon, Pamela Winslow Kashani, Dani Marcus, Don Richard, Sharon Rietkerk, and Will Reynolds.

The musical, which retains much of Austen's original text, was filmed at Off-Broadway's Westside Theatre last year, capturing a production mounted specifically for streaming online rather than as a traditional theatrical offering. The album is culled from the soundtrack of that film, currently available to watch at StreamingMusicals.com.

The creative team for the production includes director of photography Alice Brooks, production designer Dara Wishingrad, editor Ally Rice, music supervisor and director Brad haak, costume designer Kara Branch, lighting designer Benjamin Weill, sound designer Seth Huling, choreographer Wendy Seyb, and directors Tim Kashani and Kent Nicholson.

Gordon's previous work includes a musical version of Jane Eyre that played Broadway in 2000 and an adaptation of Jean Webster's Daddy Long Legs that played Off-Broadway's Davenport Theatre in 2015. A performance of the latter was streamed live in an Off-Broadway first.
