The New York Times will present the staff-moderated series at The TimesCenter. The sold-out "Food & Film: A Conversation with Nora Ephron, Meryl Streep and Stanley Tucci" — featuring an interview with the writer-director and co-stars of the new film "Julie & Julia" — is scheduled for 7-8:30 PM.
Streep was last seen on screen in the adaptations of the stage works Doubt and Mamma Mia! Her recent theatre credits include Mother Courage, The Seagull and as producer of Sarah Jones' Bridge and Tunnel. Tucci, who was also seen opposite Streep in "The Devil Wears Prada," last appeared on Broadway in Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune.
Ephron co-wrote (with sister Delia Ephron) the forthcoming Love, Loss, and What I Wore, which will play Off-Broadway's DR2 Theatre. She previously penned Imaginary Friends for Broadway and is known for her screenplays to "When Harry Met Sally...," "You've Got Mail" and "Sleepless in Seattle.
Seating for the TimesTalks event is on a first-come, first-served basis. The TimesCenter is located at 242 West 41st Street (between 7th and 8th Avenue). The event is currently sold out, but "tickets may be available at the door the day of the event," as per the website.
