On July 31, San Diego's Old Globe Theatre will open their production of Cymbeline, helmed by Daniel Sullivan (Lincoln Center's Twelfth Night), with an official run slated through Sept. 4.
Heading Sullivan's cast will be Erika Rolfsrud as Imogen, a princess who must disguise herself as a man to escape punishment after she has been falsely accused of adultery. Rolfsrud attracted attention in last season's Love's Fire, a collection of new one-act plays inspired by Shakespeare's sonnets, which toured the nation, eventually playing New York's Public Theater. Rolfsrud was featured in pieces by Wendy Wasserstein and Tony Kushner.
Other featured players include: Tony Amendola, Dylan Chalfy, David Lansbury, Brian Lohmann, Aaron Krohn, James Saba, Peter van Norden and Brenda Wehle.
