Sundance at BAM, running May 29-June 8, will presents 22 feature films and 36 short films and will also showcase work from its year-round theatre and music programs. On June 2 Kirsten Childs (The Bubbly Black Girl Sheds Her Chameleon Skin), Scott Frankel (Grey Gardens) and Joseph Thalken (Harold and Maude) – all Sundance Institute participants – will present an evening of new music at the BAMcafé entitled Theatre Playlist.
Performing the material will be three-time Tony nominee Rebecca Luker (Mary Poppins) and additional vocalists to be announced shortly. The 8 PM performance will also feature monologist Josh Kornbluth, who will present selections from his work Citizen Josh.
Among the stage actors whose work will be represented in the Sundance film offerings are Meryl Streep, Isabella Rossellini, Sam Rockwell and Anjelica Huston, Bill Murray and Aidan Quinn.
