Soap star Susan Lucci ("All My Children") will replace Bernadette Peters in the Broadway hit Annie Get Your Gun for three weeks over the holidays, according to the "Daily Scoop" column of the ABC network's official website. ABC airs "All My Chidren," the soap opera Lucci calls home.
The network website proclaimed "It's official." Lucci's start date could not be confirmed.
Peters won a Tony Award for her performance in Annie Get Your Gun. The show itself also claimed a prize as best musical revival.
Lucci has never previously appeared on Broadway. As Annie Oakley, she would be called upon to sing such songs as "Lost in His Arms" and "I Got the Sun in the Morning."
