Susan Watson, the original Kim in Bye Bye Birdie and a longtime interpreter of the works of songwriters Tom Jones & Harvey Schmidt will star in the team's Colette Collage for one performance, June 9, at the Musical Theatre Guild in Pasadena, CA.

The musical tells the story of the life, loves and literature of French author Colette. Watson, who played Luisa in the 1959 pre-Off-Broadway debut of Jones & Schmidt's The Fantasticks, went on to star in their The Bone Room and Celebration. She also played the title role in the Broadway revival of No No, Nanette.

Colette Collage concludes the inaugural season of the Musical Theatre Guild, which performs at the Pasadena Playhouse. The reading-style performance will be directed by Drew Scott Harris, who recently staged Jones & Schmidt's Mirette at Goodspeed Opera House's Norma Terris Theatre in Connecticut.

Also in the MTG production will be James J. Mellon, Peter Renaday, Ira Denmark, Betty Vaughan, Sandy Edgerton, Christina Saffran, Kathryn Skatula, Sarah Tattersall, Charles Bergman, Gordon Goodman and Timothy J. Miller.
