Newly-minted Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Suzan Lori Parks is scheduled to appear on PBS' "Charlie Rose Show" on May 2. Parks' critically-lauded play, Topdog/Underdog, moved from a sold out Off-Broadway run last summer to open on Broadway in April, where it garnered the 2002 Pulitzer Prize for Drama. Her previous plays include The America Play, Venus, and In the Blood, an adaptation of Hawthorne's "The Scarlet Letter." Her next play, F***ing A is scheduled for production at the Public Theater in the 2002-03 season.
"Charlie Rose" airs on PBS late nights (11PM ET on New York's WNET-13). Scheduled arts segments are occasionally pre-empted in favor of breaking news interviews. Check local listings for times and channels.
