News Sweeney Todd’s Molina to Join Cearley for Most Overdone Songs Cabaret singer Nick Cearley will return to the Duplex Cabaret Theatre next month with an updated version of his acclaimed act The Most Overdone Songs Ever: A Brand New Not-so-New Revue.

Cearley, who was recently part of the workshop of Bill Russell and Peter Melnick's Last Smoker in America musical, will be joined onstage by Sweeney Todd star Lauren Molina — and her cello. The duo will play the first Sunday of every month through June. Show time is 7 PM on Feb. 5, March 5, April 2, May 7 and June 4. The Most Overdone Songs Ever features direction by Phil Geoffrey Bond and musical direction by Ray Fellman. About the show performer Cearley said in a statement, “For those who saw it the last time, it has been seriously revised and many changes have occurred including the addition of my good buddy Lauren Molina. . . . Each month the show will gradually become a different show, morphing the show into an entirely different show each month. Basically, you will get to see showtune after showtune disappear and change!”
