Swing! may be closing Jan. 14, but Everett Bradley, the show's bespectacled comic star, is moving on with his first career: singer songwriter. He celebrates the release of his debut CD, "As Ever It Is," Jan. 11 in the Sh-k-Boom Room at the Cutting Room restaurant. Bradley made his Broadway debut in Swing!, which features one of his own compositions, "Throw That Girl Around," as well as several of his arrangements of classic swing tunes. He made his theatrical debut with Stomp as the first American to join the British company. Bradley also co-authored the musical Vices and made a 1995 European and Japanese hit with the dance single, "I Love Ya Baby."

"As Ever It Is" was inspired by legendary vibes player Mike Mainieri and features Bradley on vocals and percussion, Shawn Pelton on drums, Conrad Korsch on bass and Kevin Bents on keyboards and guitars. A release describes the record as "if Macy Gray were sitting in with Ben Folds Five with Sly Stone on keyboards."

Tickets are $10 at the door. The Cutting Room, a new restaurant owned by The Best Man's Chris Noth, is located at 19 West 24th Street. For more information, call Noah Cornman at (646) 505 0496.
