Argyle Theatre's Footloosedirected by Artistic Director Evan Pappas (A Chorus Line, Parade), runs through August 28. Performances at the Long Island venue began July 16.

The cast stars Peyton S. Cassity as Ren, Tia Karaplis as Ariel, John Hillner (Footloose, Mamma Mia!) as Reverend Shaw, Michelle Mallardi  (Beauty and the Beast) as Vi Shaw, Carrie Michelle Baker as Ethel, Tray Wright as Willard, Lilliannie Arie Urgent as Rusty, Quincy Lawson as Urleen, Liat Shuflita as Wendy Jo, and Max Kuenzer as Chuck. The cast also features Jay Mauro, Tyrell Ruffin, Jojo Minasi, Arturo Hernandez, Molly Model, Christina Emily Jackson, Nicole Weitzman, and Mikey Marmann.

Choreographed by Eugenio Contenti, the production also has music direction by Jonathan Brenner, set design by Steven Velasquez, lighting design by Eric Norbury, costume design by Peter Fogel, sound design by Scott Stauffer, and props by Zach Marlin. 

The musical, based on the original screenplay by Dean Pitchford, has a stage adaptation by Walter Bobbie and Dean Pitchford. Music is by Tom Snow with lyrics by Pitchford plus songs by Eric Carmen, Sammy Hagar, Kenny Loggins, and Jim Steinman and additional lyrics by Loggins.

Emily Todt serves as the production stage manager along with assistant stage manager Shari Freeda, COVID safety manager Dailee Morrone, production assistant Perseis Grant, production manager/technical director  Michael Kauffman, and production coordinator Alison Savino. Casting is provided by Michael Cassara.
