Brooke Ciardelli directs the premiere of the work, which features a score by Schrier with book and lyrics by Doherty. Take Two officially opens April 24 and runs through May 17.
Take Two, according to press notes, "follows two men and two women as they jump back into the dating world after each has lost his or her 'true love.' From tender moments of new self-awareness to internet dating disasters and laugh-out-loud social predicaments, Take Two appeals to anyone who has ever dipped a toe into the swirl of the search for love."
The cast features Dan Petrotta (A Tale of Two Cities), Tracy McDowell (Rent), Drew Taylor (Sweet Smell of Success) and Mary Gutzi (Les Miserables, Ragtime).
Take Two has scenic design by Ken Goldstein, costume design by Collette Benoit, lighting design by Cory Pattak, sound design by John McQuiggan and musical staging by Richard Amelius.
