Off-Broadway News Taran Killam to Host Lucille Lortel Awards The Hamilton star is set to host this year’s celebration of Off-Broadway shows at the NYU Skirball Center.

Taran Killam, who joined the Broadway cast of Hamilton as King George III January 17, is set to host this year’s Lucille Lortel Awards, according to the NYU Skirball Center for Performing Arts website. As previously announced, the 32nd Annual Lucille Lortel Awards, celebrating outstanding achievement in Off-Broadway theatre, will take place May 7 at the Skirball Center.

“I’m honored to be hosting this year’s Lucille Lortel Awards,” said Killam in a press statement. “I look forward to being a part of celebrating the best of theatre in the city that is the best at theatre. Calm down, London.”

This year’s Lortel honorees include costume designer William Ivey Long, who will be presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award; Lynn Nottage, who will be inducted onto the famed Playwrights’ Sidewalk in front of the Lucille Lortel Theatre; and theatre executive Harold Wolpert, who will be honored with the Edith Oliver Service to Off-Broadway Award.
