News Taranto to Succeed Maroulis in Rock of Ages; Jarvis Will Take Over for Carpinello Tony Award nominee Constantine Maroulis will play his final performance as Drew in Broadway's Rock of Ages Sept. 9 before heading the national tour of that Tony-nominated musical, which launches Sept. 21 in Chicago.

Joey Taranto, who made his Broadway debut in Rock of Ages, will succeed Maroulis at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre beginning Sept. 10.

Mitchell Jarvis will also play his final performance as Lonny on Sept. 5; Jarvis, however, will continue with the musical. Starting Sept. 13, he will take over the role of Stacee Jaxx from James Carpinello, who will play his final performance on a date to be determined. The role of Lonny will be played by Jay Klaitz (Lend Me a Tenor, High Fidelity) beginning Sept. 6.

The musical comedy Rock of Ages borrows rock hits of the 1980s to tell the story of showbiz lovers in L.A. The score includes "Every Rose Has Its Thorn," "I Wanna Know What Love Is," "Here I Go Again," "Don't Stop Believin'" and more.

Rock of Ages is written by Chris D'Arienzo, directed by Kristin Hanggi and choreographed by Kelly Devine.

The cast currently features Constantine Maroulis, Emily Padgett, James Carpinello, Josephine Rose Roberts, Adam Dannheisser, Mitchell Jarvis, Michele Mais, Paul Schoeffler, Derek St. Pierre, Jenifer Foote, Ericka Hunter, Michael Minarik, Julie Nelson, Justin Matthew Sargent, Matthew Stocke, Sarrah Strimel, Becca Tobin, Andre Ward, Katie Webber and Jeremy Woodard.
