The pieces presented will be Wassily Kandinsky's The Yellow Sound, an experimental performance piece first performed by the Russian artist in 1909; The Magic Flute (A Sound-Op Era), adapted from Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's classic opera; and Clyde Fitch's early-20th-century American play The Moth and the Flame. According to press notes, "Veteran and neophyte Target Margin artists come together to study the pathological history of this downtown institution, investigating the varied interests that define the character of Target Margin Theater."
The performance schedule for The Yellow Sound is Nov. 4 at 8 PM, Nov. 5 at 8 PM, Nov. 6 at 8 PM, Nov. 7 at 7 PM; Nov. 8 at 8 PM. The Magic Flute (A Sound-Op Era) will perform Nov. 10 at 7:30 PM, Nov. 11 at 8 PM, Nov. 12 at 8 PM, Nov. 13 at 8 PM, Nov. 14 at 7 PM. The schedule for The Moth and the Flame will be Nov. 16 at 8 PM, Nov. 17 at 8 PM, Nov. 18 at 8 PM, Nov. 19 at 8 PM, Nov. 20 at 8 PM.
