Chester Gregory II, who played Terk in the recently ended Disney musical Tarzan, goes it solo at Splash Bar July 16.

As part of Scott Nevins' Curtain Call series at the popular dance club, Gregory will perform a full set following the weekly "Musical Mondays" video presentations of Broadway performances. Gregory's concert is scheduled for 11:30 PM. Chester Gregory II, who co-starred in Tarzan, made his Broadway debut in Hairspray. A native of Gary, IN, Gregory has also appeared in productions of The Jackie Wilson Story, Train Is Comin', Soul of Black Music, Scapin and Drowning Crow. His awards include a Jeff Award (Best Actor in a Review), a Black Excellence Award (Best Actor in a Musical), a Black Theater Alliance Award (Best Actor in a Musical) and an Audelco Special Performance Award in 2003. Gregory's new single "High Love," from his forthcoming CD, is available for download on iTunes.

Splash Bar is located in Manhattan at 50 West 17th Street. Admission is free until 10 PM; there is a $5 charge after that time. Attendees must be 21 or older with identification.
