Diggs, who was featured last fall in "The Good Wife," is set to play Dr. Mike Boyce, a world-famous infectious disease doctor and best friend to the series' lead character, Dr. Rosewood, played by Morris Chestnut ("The Perfect Guy," "Will & Grace"). The casting of Diggs marks a reunion for him and Chestnut, as the two were featured together in the films "The Best Man" and "The Best Man Holiday."

The next episode of "Rosewood" will air Oct. 14, guest-starring Adrian Pasdar as a doctor suspected of killing his two patients. The series comes from executive producer Todd Harthan ("Psych," "Dominion") and also stars Lorraine Toussaint ("Orange is the New Black").
