The 9 PM discussion, entitled A Director's Journey, is free and open to the public. Taymor will interview Selina Cartmell, a Dublin-based freelance director who founded her own company, Siren Productions; Lara Foot Newton, who is currently adapting her South African play Tshepang for film; and Federico Leon, an Argentine theatre and film writer-director. A Director's Journey is presented by Rolex in association with The New School Writing Program and Eugene Lang College/The New School for Liberal Arts.
Julie Taymor is also the Tony-winning director and designer of The Lion King, which just celebrated its first decade on Broadway.
