Traina, an accomplished clarinetist and saxophonist, will be featured on the new disc, which is titled "Ten By Ten." In addition to the musicians who comprise the Joe Traina Quintet — pianist Tim Regusis, bass player Sean Smith, tenor saxophone player Mike Karn and drummer Scott Neumann — the new recording will also boast a mix of some of the best jazz musicians working today: Grammy-nominated trombonist Pete McGuinness (who will arrange the ten tunes on the new recording), trumpeter Tony Kadleck, trumpeter Scott Wendholt, alto saxophonist Dave Pietro, baritone saxophonist Frank Basile and guitarist Pete McCann.

"Ten By Ten," which will be released on the Joe Traina music label, will include such songs as Guys and Dolls' "I've Never Been in Love Before," My Fair Lady's "I've Grown Accustomed to Her Face" and Jubilee's "Begin the Beguine," among others.

A CD release party will be presented at Birdland in the fall; details to be announced.
