Boys' Life, which put playwright Howard Korder on the map when it was produced in 1988 at Lincoln Center, will receive a tenth anniversary production at Off-Broadway Judith Anderson Theatre Aug. 31-Sept. 13. The show officially began previews on Aug. 27. Victor F.A. Lirio is producing the new staging, which is directed by Anders Cato and features Lirio, Jason Kaufman, Dan Schachner, Sean Powell, Katy Medders, Illana Zauderer, Tracey Mitchell, Natalie Duckett and Natasha Marco.

In Boys' Life, Korder examines three pals on the verge of adulthood as they maneuver their way through the sexual mores of 1980s America. The play was nominated for the 1988 Pulitzer Prize for drama. Lirio and company intend to dissect the play not only as a drama but as an artifact of a now bygone era "before Debbie Gibson became `Deborah' and [when] Special K was still a cereal."

The Lincoln Center production was directed by William H. Macy and starred Jordan Lage, Clark Gregg, Todd Weeks and Felicity Huffman. Korder has gone on to write such works as Search and Destroy and The Lights.
