News THAW's Abused Women Tell Bitter Truth on 9/29 in CA Theatre of Hope for Abused Women (T.H.A.W.) will present an afternoon of readings, songs, and poems themed on domestic and familial abuse, at The Bitter Truth in North Hollywood, on Sept. 29.

Theatre of Hope for Abused Women (T.H.A.W.) will present an afternoon of readings, songs, and poems themed on domestic and familial abuse, at The Bitter Truth in North Hollywood, on Sept. 29.

The Performances are produced and directed by T.H.A.W. Executive Director Leslie deBeauvais, who will also perform along with performers/writers Allyson Adams, Izako, Mary Nurrenbern, Ken Stacey and Roger Reinhart.

T.H.A.W. serves the health, well being, and empowerment of emotionally and physically abused women who have taken the first step toward recovery, by helping them heal themselves through art. T.H.A.W. provides clinically supervised programs in writing, acting, directing, and stagecraft.

T.H.A.W.currently performs their Sunday afternoon series of events at The Bitter Truth, while they await the completion of their new home at the American Renegade Theatre Company, also located in the Los Angeles Valley.

Performances begin at 4pm on Sunday, September 29. Light refreshments will be served following the performance. A donation of $5 is requested. For information and reservations, call (818) 763-4430. -- By Blair Glaser
