News The Addams Family Creeps Into the Ogunquit Playhouse Tonight The Ogunquit Playhouse production of the Broadway musical The Addams Family plays the Maine venue Oct. 1-26.

The cast is headed by Shaun Rice as Fester, Rachel de Benedet as Morticia, David Engel as Gomez, Jennifer Fogarty as Wednesday, Matthew Quinn as Lurch, Amanda Bruton as Grandma, Larry Cahn as Mal Beineke, Laurie Wells as Alice Beineke and Bryan Welnicki as Lucas Beineke.

Keith Andrews directs and choreographs. Nolan Bonvouloir is the music director.

The musical comedy was created by Jersey Boys authors Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice and Drama Desk Award-winning composer/lyricist Andrew Lippa.

"The frightfully delightful world of Gomez, Morticia, Uncle Fester, Grandma, Wednesday, Pugsley and, of course, Lurch comes to spooky and spectacular life in this all new story, based on the bizarre and beloved characters created by cartoonist Charles Addams," according to press notes. "The magnificently macabre family is put to the test when outsiders come to dinner, hurling them into a night that will change their lives forever."
