News "The After Party" to Welcome [title of show]'s Bell and Blackwell Oct. 17 "The After Party," billed as "an informal midtown schmoozefest for the theatrically inclined," will welcome [title of show]'s Hunter Bell and Susan Blackwell Oct. 17.

Bell and Blackwell will be on hand to celebrate the Broadway run of the little show that did. The evening will also feature tunes performed by Alysha Umphress and Wicked's Anne Brummel.

Hosted by Brandon Cutrell and Umphress, "The After Party" at the Laurie Beechman Theatre features Ray Fellman at the piano. Amateurs and professionals are invited to take turns at the open mic during the "Party," which begins at 10:30 PM and continues to 2 AM.

Hunter Bell was the co-creator and co-star of Broadway's [title of show]. For the musical's Off-Broadway run, he received an Obie Award, a GLAAD Media nomination and a Drama League nomination. Bell also appeared on Broadway in How the Grinch Stole Christmas and penned the books for Silence! The Musical and Bellobration!. He has written original material for BC/EFA's Easter Bonnet competition, the Actors Fund 125th Gala, Vineyard Theatre's 25th Anniversary Gala, Broadway Bares 18: Wonderland and the 53rd Annual Drama Desk Awards. His regional credits are numerous.

Susan Blackwell made her Broadway debut in [title of show] at the Lyceum Theatre. She has been seen Off-Broadway in [title of show], Speech and Debate, Anon, Working Title, Vilna's Got a Golem and The Heidi Chronicles.

The Laurie Beechman Theatre is located within the West Bank Cafe at 407 West 42nd Street. There is no cover charge or minimum for "The After Party."
