News "The After Party" Welcomes Company's Walsh Sept. 5 "The After Party," billed as "an informal midtown schmoozefest for the theatrically inclined," welcomes Tony-nominated Broadway singer-actress Barbara Walsh Sept. 5.

Walsh, who was most recently seen on Broadway in the acclaimed revival of Stephen Sondheim and George Furth's Company, will be on hand to greet fans and perform a few songs at the weekly event.

Hosted by Brandon Cutrell and Alysha Umphress, "The After Party" at the Laurie Beechman Theatre features Ray Fellman at the piano. Amateurs and professionals are invited to take turns at the open mic during the "Party," which begins at 10:30 PM and continues to 2 AM.

Barbara Walsh received Tony and Drama Desk nominations and the Los Angeles Ovation Award for her work as Trina in William Finn's Falsettos; her other Broadway credits include Company (Drama Desk nomination), Hairspray, Big, Blood Brothers, Nine and Rock 'N Roll ! The First 5000 Years. Off-Broadway she has been seen in Normal, Forbidden Broadway and Birds of Paradise, and her regional credits include The Most Happy Fella, Houdini, Exactly Like You, A Streetcar Named Desire and Ragtime. Walsh's screen credits feature roles in "Life with Mikey" and "Law & Order."

Walsh will be seen in the upcoming NYMF production of About Face, Sept. 17-24 at 37 Arts Theater C.

The Laurie Beechman Theatre is located within the West Bank Cafe at 407 West 42nd Street. There is no cover charge or minimum for "The After Party."
