Both Larsen and Henry will be on hand to greet fans and perform a few numbers at the free weekly event. The duo will premiere songs from the new musical Serenade.
Hosted by Brandon Cutrell and Alysha Umphress, "The After Party" at the Laurie Beechman Theatre features Ray Fellman at the piano. Cabaret favorite Lisa Asher is also part of the "Party" mix, where amateurs and professionals are invited to take turns at the open mic. The "Party" begins at 10:30 PM and continues to 2 AM.
Anika Larsen, who plays Euterpe in Xanadu, has also been seen on Broadway in All Shook Up and Rent and Off-Broadway in Zanna, Don't!; Miracle Brothers; and How to Save the World and Find True Love in 90 Minutes.
Joshua Henry appeared in the recent Off-Broadway musical In the Heights. He was also part of the Paper Mill Playhouse production of Godspell and the Westport staging of Being Alive.
Larsen and Henry will co-star in Jaradoa Theater's upcoming production of Serenade, a new musical by Tony winner Rachel Sheinkin and Nils Olaf Dolven. The musical, according to press notes, "follows a young silhouette maker on his odyssey of discovery after arriving in the big city. The musical journey propels him through all the adventures, struggles, and the first flush of love he experiences in this new and strange metropolis."
