News The Book of Mormon Aiming for 2013 London Debut at Prince of Wales London audiences will have their chance to see the Tony-winning hit The Book of Mormon when the blockbuster arrives at the Prince of Wales Theatre in March 2013, according to the Daily Mail.

It is expected that the London production will begin casting in the U.K. shortly.

Representatives for the Broadway production did not have information on future London plans.

"South Park" creators-writers Trey Parker and Matt Stone and Tony-winning Avenue Q songwriter Robert Lopez collaborated on the script and score to the musical, which earned Tony Awards for Best Book, Best Score and Best Musical.

A U.S. tour will launch Aug. 14-Sept. 2 at Denver's Ellie Caulkins Opera House, prior to a 12-week Los Angeles engagement at the Pantages Theatre Sept. 5-Nov. 25. A five-week San Francisco engagement at the Curran Theatre has also been announced.

Previously announced tour stops also include the Civic Center of Greater Des Moines (Jan. 24-Feb. 3, 2013) and the Orpheum Theatre in Minneapolis (Feb. 5-17, 2013). Mirvish Productions will bring The Book of Mormon to Toronto in May-June 2013. A separate production of The Book of Mormon will play a 12-week Chicago engagement at the Bank of America Theatre. It will play Chicago Dec. 1, 2012-March 2, 2013, according to the Bank of America Theatre website.

Co-directed by Parker and Casey Nicholaw, The Book of Mormon opened to critical acclaim March 24, 2011, at the Eugene O'Neill Theatre. Both earned Tony Awards for their work.
