News The Book of Mormon's Daniel Breaker Brings Solo Show to Joe's Pub Tonight Following an acclaimed run in 2013, Tony nominee Daniel Breaker (Passing Strange, The Book of Mormon) returns to Joe's Pub with his solo show, Down and Out which begins March 23.

Breaker's Down and Out combines storytelling with multilayered music ranging from blues to funk. It is billed as "dry, soulful, broken and proud."

The performances feature special guest appearances from Amber Renee Gray (An Octaroon, Natasha, Pierre & the Great Comet of 1812) and Jacob Ming-Trent (Shrek, Hands on a Hardbody, Julie Taymor's A Midsummer Night's Dream). Breaker is also backed by a band including Passing Strange players Jon Spurney and Christian Cassan, along with Cody Owen Stine, Jeremy Chatzky, Sean Nowell and Ron McBee.

Currently playing in The Book of Mormon, Breaker's further Broadway credits include The Performers and Shrek the Musical
