News The Boy From Oz Takes the Ed Sullivan Theatre as Jackman Appears on "Letterman," May 13 The Boy From Oz star and this year's returning Tony Awards host Hugh Jackman will appear on CBS' "Late Night with David Letterman," May 13 at 11:35 PM (ET). Check your local listings.

Jackman currently stars in the new Tony Award-nominated musical which began on Broadway at the Imperial Theatre Sept. 16, 2003, and opened Oct. 16. The Boy from Oz is "a musical true story" of the late entertainer Peter Allen who was a protege of Judy Garland — and briefly married to her daughter Liza Minnelli. Martin Sherman (Bent) provides the libretto for the score which features the music and lyrics of the pop superstar.

Philip Wm. McKinley directs the production featuring Tony-nominated Jackman (as Peter Allen) and a cast that includes his fellow Tony nominees Beth Fowler and Isabel Keating as well as Stephanie J. Block, Jarrod Emick, Mitchel Federan and Michael Mulheren.
