News The Broadway Community Responds to the It Gets Better Project Members of the Broadway and greater New York theatre community gathered Oct. 7 to film testimonials in support of the It Gets Better Project.

The gathering was coordinated by Raymond J. Lee (Mamma Mia!) and Chris Nichols (talent agent at Kerin-Goldberg Associates). Robbi Kearns is a co-producer. Videos were recorded by the casts of Broadway's Chicago and Memphis, the first and second national tours of Wicked, and several actors, including B.D. Wong (Pacific Overtures, Herringbone, "Law & Order: SVU"), Michael Arnold,  Bernard Dotson ( Chicago), Raymond J. Lee ( Mamma Mia!), Jose Llana ( …Spelling Bee, The King and I, Rent), songwriter Jen Namoff, Kate Pazakis ( Jerry Springer the Opera), Brian Charles Rooney ( The Threepenny Opera) and many others.

The It Gets Better Project was started by advice columnist Dan Savage to offer hope and inspiration to gay and questioning youth in the wake of the recent gay teen suicides caused by excessive bullying.
