News "The Cosby Show" Star Malcolm-Jamal Warner Cast in Arena Stage's Guess Who's Coming to Dinner Emmy Award nominee Malcolm-Jamal Warner, who played Theo on "The Cosby Show," will play Dr. John Prentice in in Todd Kreidler's stage adaptation of Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner at Arena Stage.

Directed by Kenny Leon (A Raisin in the Sun, Fences), performances will run Nov. 29, 2013-Jan. 5, 2014 on the Fichandler Stage.

Warner’s theatre credits include Three Ways Home, Cryinʼ Shame (NAACP Theater Award for Best Supporting Actor) and Freefall at Victory Gardens Theater in Chicago; A Midsummer Night's Dream at the La Jolla Playhouse in California; and the West Coast debut of his one-man theatrical production of Love and Other Social Issues.

Along with "The Cosby Show," his TV work includes "Malcolm & Eddie," which he starred in and produced, "Community," "Hawthorne," "The Cleaner," "Dexter" and "Reed Between the Lines." Film credits include "Drop Zone," "Pictures Fools Gold," "Restaurant," "A Fare to Remember" and "The List."

Warner's work as a director includes "Malcolm & Eddie," "The Cosby Show," "All That," "Keenan & Kel," "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air," "Sesame Street," "Reed Between the Lines" and the AIDS awareness video "Timeout: The Truth about HIV, AIDS, and YOU" (NAACP Key of Life Image Award).

Family and culture are explored in Guess Who's Coming to Dinner, when a progressive white couple's liberal ideals are put to the test after meeting their daughter's African-American fiancé.
